Don't let Zac Efron play Light in the Hollywood remake of the Death Note movie. ~[link]

It's horror in its purest form that Hollywood got their paws on it, anyway. Let's not make it worse by allowing them to choose Zac.

He doesn't look like Light. His *very* cheap version of Light's hairstyle is not adequate. His face is too wide. He doesn't resemble Light in neither looks nor personality, and yes, that does show.

Light is organized, rather quiet, serious, and a work-a-holic. He has burning passion and determination on the inside and is devoted to his sense of justice. Do we REALLY want him to play this kind of character? Seriously. And this is me explaining his personality WITHOUT the Death Note. With the Death Note, he has all of these traits, but is also cold, calculated, manipulative, obsessive, and subconsciously conceited. The people who actually WANT him to play Light need to take a look at this. Imagine the chances of him playing this role decently, considering Light's personality. He's a TWEEN ACTOR. There's only so much an actor can bend their personality.

Actors tend to take the roles of characters that are similar to their personality, and Zac is the EXACT opposite of what we want for Light. If Hollywood casts him for Light Yagami, I'll hate Hollywood even more than I already do.

That fujiwara guy (or whatever) in the Japanese version wasn't such a great choice either, but fuck, he'd be better than Zac. It would be total lolworthy if the Japanese top us in film.

I'm not saying he's a bad actor; I'm saying that he just ISN'T Light. For fuck's sake, I don't want Death Note turning into "Death Note Musical."
